Class Experience
**Parental assistance is recommended for younger learners ** Creating Youtube videos can be a fun hobby and/or a valuable way to share important information. Whatever the reason may be, learning how to make a Youtube video is a great skill to have in our present world. As one who loves to make my own videos, I would love to share with you what I’ve learned while building my channel. In this class, I will share with you how to edit and post YouTube videos for your channel. Skills to learn include: removing unwanted parts, adding stickers, music, sound effects, picture-in-picture, using a green screen effect, adjusting playback time and creating and adding custom thumbnails, and more. We can always schedule another class if we run out of time learning all that you'd like to know. We will walk through the process step by step, share screens as we go, and learn how to edit videos at your pace. I will happy to answer any questions that you may have about the process. **PLEASE BE PREPARED WITH THE FOLLOWING** 1. Have editing software, either: - iMovie -CapCut -InShot 2. Have a short pre-recorded video on their device that we can edit. (this can be a video of their cute dog etc.) 3. Have a YouTube account created by THE PARENT for the child, if you are interested in learning how to post them. This should be done before class so that they can post videos onto a YouTube account. It SHOULD NOT be connected to their current child account for someone under 13. The child can create a channel under the parent's YouTube account for supervision or the parent can create a joint account for supervision. ***For posting videos, children must use a YouTube/Gmail account that is opened and monitored by their parents for someone who is older than 13 years old. It CANNOT be under a parent/family plan or an educational account.*** #videoediting, #makevideos, #howtomakevideos,
