Sound It Out! Learn to Read With Word Families, Sight Words, Phonics, and Games-3X Week

In this class, we will review the letter sounds, sound out simple words, and practice putting together letter sounds to make words. We will use many visuals to help engage the students and help them to form words. Some blends and diagraphs will be introduced, as well as, sight words. Come join us at any time for word games, songs, stories, and more!

 This class is great for dyslexic students and children with learning disabilities.

Students should know most of the letter sounds so that they will be able to get the most benefit from this class. It will be a great way to review letter sounds, too.

Week of July 1st: Review
Week of July 8th: words ending in -og
Week of July 15th: words ending in -ug
Week of July 22nd: words ending in -an 
Week of July 29th: words ending in -et
Week of August 5th: words ending in -ip
Week of August 12th: words ending in -op
Week of August 19th: words ending in -un
Wee of August 26th: words ending in -ap




I have been a teacher for over 18 years and I have taught in a classroom for 15 years and online for over 4 years. I have taught many children to read and to speak English as a second language. I look forward to getting to know your child in my online classroom. 

**Please note that I prefer that the children keep their microphones on if they are in a quiet environment. They will need to mute their mics if there is noise or people are talking in the background. I will mute mics as necessary but feel free to turn them on if the environment becomes quiet again.
