Homework
1-2 hours per week. There will be printable activities for the children to practice their shapes. Practice will be key as we will be building on what we learn. Each week there will be a drawing using the shapes we are learning. If students have practiced they will have an easier time creating this drawing.Class Experience
*This is a FLEX class with no live meetings* In this interactive semester class Preschool and Kindergarten age students will learn about shapes. We will learn the names and how to draw them. Each week we will draw a picture using the shapes that we have learned about. Shapes are all around us and students will learn how to spot them in their own homes and communities. Each week there will be the opportunity for students to share a little video in the classroom about their drawing and what they have learned. There will be other activities each week as well that may include worksheets with drawing practice, matching and more. We may also play some games like finding shapes in real life or scavenger hunts. Students are strongly encouraged to share their drawing in the classroom by video so they can see what their classmates have drawn, share their own artwork and interact with each other.
