Class Experience
Birds have been used in art for a long time to deliver a passage from a work of art, especially portraiture. This class is intentionally designed to help students study an animal portrait by sketching with graphite and colored pencils. With colored pencils, students will experiment on techniques of shading in order to turn the sketch into a realistic drawing with a colorful palette . - Pencil (HB is recommended) - Eraser (Chopped diagonally) - Colored pencils (Prismacolor is recommended). - Q-Tips - Cotton balls (Brushes for substitution) - Baby oil (Cooking oil for substitution) - Thick paper ( Mix-Media, Watercolor, or Bristol)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
