In the last part of class, students will be given an opportunity to incorporate all they have learned to create bracelet designs with multiple shapes. Students will be invited to describe and share their jewelry designs with the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am a certified teacher with experience teaching elementary students in all subjects. I love reading and children's books and I get very excited about sharing books with students of all ages. I often incorporate children's literature into art, sewing, writing, outdoor adventure, and Lego building lessons.

I love creating with my hands and find great joy in sewing, quilting, embroidery, and any thing I can do to pull needle and thread through beautiful fabric. Helping children find that same joy in creating is so much fun!

My family loves to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing. I often find ways to sketch, stitch, read, or photograph while we are out on our adventures. I am always happy to teach children how to have fun and be safe while enjoying nature.

I firmly believe that success builds success. If students are active in their learning and connect at a level they are comfortable with, they can build on those successes and learn quickly. Hands on learning and making personal connections with books are ways I like to engage children.

I am so excited to see you in class!
