This may include things like small toys, paper clips, Cheerios, etc. (I will be bringing my small dinosaur counters). If any other items are required I will give notice. Please check the classroom for updates before class begins. If you do not have access to a printer, that is okay. I will make accommodations for the activity and ask students to record answers on a blank sheet of paper or whiteboard instead. I hope to see you in my classroom soon!

Hello everyone! My name is Danielle. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Youth Development as well as a Bachelor of Education degree. I am a certified teacher qualified to teach Kindergarten-Grade 6. I also have additional specialized qualifications in Reading and Primary Education and have taken numerous professional development courses focusing on literacy and mathematics. I also have my TESOL certification for teaching English. I consider myself to be a continuous and lifelong learner and am committed to embracing the challenge of professional growth in order to provide your child with the best possible learning experiences.
Over the past 8 years, I have been a classroom teacher and have taught many grades. I currently teach Literacy, Math, and Science to Junior and Senior Kindergarten students. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and it is truly my passion. I strive to create innovative classes that keep my students engaged while learning at the same time. For the past 3 years, I have also been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to students through an online platform. I have taught thousands of ESL classes in person and online. I have taught English to students from all over the world including China, Peru, Mongolia, South Korea, Malaysia, Brazil, and Japan. It can be difficult for young children to learn through a computer screen, however, this experience has strengthened my ability to be an engaging teacher even while teaching virtually. I keep my students engaged by utilizing technology, incorporating movement when possible, making the content relatable, and learning through hands-on experiences.
I am a mother to a 3.5-year-old boy and an almost 1-year-old girl. As a parent, I know how important it is to feel informed when it comes to your child’s education. For this reason, I make open communication with parents and guardians a priority. Please feel comfortable contacting me, through the Outschool platform, if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning experience in my classes. I am passionate about embracing my students’ eagerness to learn and to enhance their growth as individuals. I encourage and welcome all learners in my classroom and would love to teach, have fun and learn with your child!
