Class Experience

Beginner Level
In this 5-week course, students will get a fun and practical introduction to the basics of digital marketing. This class is perfect for teens who are curious about how businesses grow online, what makes a good social media post, or how people find things on Google. No prior experience is needed—just an interest in the online world and a willingness to learn!

By the end of the course, students will have a starter digital marketing portfolio they can continue to build on, along with a better understanding of how online marketing works in the real world. To make things even easier, I’ll provide custom digital marketing templates throughout the course—like content calendars, social media post mockups, and branding guides. These give students a clear starting point and help them practice like real marketers without having to build from scratch

🗓️ Class Structure:
-A short mini-lesson (slides, examples, or video clips)
-A group discussion or creative brainstorm
-Time to start working on their project or activity for the day
-We’ll also use tools like Google Classroom to organize resources, and Padlet so students can post weekly updates, share ideas, or showcase parts of their work in a fun, visual way.

🎤 My Teaching Style:
I keep things casual, interactive, and student-centered. My goal is to make marketing concepts feel approachable—even fun! I love using real-life examples, current trends, and student interests to keep things relevant. Whether your learner loves fashion, gaming, sports, or animals, they’ll have the freedom to apply what they’re learning to topics they care about.

With the help of digital templates, we’ll break down concepts into simple, doable steps so learners feel confident every week.

🤝 Learner Interaction:
Students will have lots of chances to interact with me and each other through:
-Class discussions and creative prompts
-Weekly check-ins and project sharing
-Optional feedback on work submitted
-I’ll be available in the Outschool classroom between sessions if students have questions or want to share updates.

🎯 Class Expectations
Students should come ready to:
-Participate in class conversations
-Respect each other’s ideas
-Try new tools and ask questions
-Spend about 30–60 minutes outside of class each week on light homework or project work

This is a supportive space where creativity is encouraged, and mistakes are part of the learning process.

💬 Refunds & Withdrawals
This class follows Outschool’s standard refund policy:
-Full refunds are available before the first class
-Partial refunds or credits may be available within the first week
-No refunds are typically given after the first week unless special circumstances apply

Spots are limited due to the small group size, so we appreciate your commitment to the full session if you’re able!

📌 Please note: Because this class includes collaborative activities and project sharing, it requires a minimum number of enrolled students to run. If that minimum isn’t met, families will be notified in advance and given the option to receive a full refund or transfer to a future session.

We’ll occasionally use a few safe and education-friendly tools to support creativity and project sharing: Google Classroom – used to organize resources, templates, and optional assignment submission. A Google account is required. Padlet – used for posting project updates and reflections (no account required; students will use a private class link and post anonymously or with nicknames). Canva– some students may use Canva to create mockup posts or visuals. If used, they can access it with a free account or without signing in through shared templates. Kahoot (for review games) – used to play short, interactive quizzes (no account required—students join with a game PIN). All tools are used strictly for educational purposes only, and we make sure students know how to participate safely. No outside communication or personal information is required at any time.
