Hello and Welcome to Mr. G’s CTE Intro to Careers Marketing class focusing on Logos and creating Slogans. Our class is all about learning about the communication and persuasion that occurs with developing artistic Logos. Students who are artistic in the traditional form are very welcome as well as students who have a digital artistic ability. Logos throughout time have been created in many different formats from traditional art versus the recent explosion of digital art. No matter, the main aspect of Logos is that throughout the years (econs) they have provided communication through a wide range of aspects that speak to the values, message, and point of a business/company. We will also learn about the importance of Slogans as well. Slogans are very short one, two, or more words to about nine at the most that also communicate a lot about a business, company, and etc.. In our class we will learn about Logos, the purpose for the Logos, the communication (message and art of persuasion) behind Logos, and how it can impact a business or a career. The second part of the class will focus on Slogans and how a an excellent Slogan combined with a Logo cna make all the difference in the world of Careers. Students will gain a wonderful insight into the artistic aspects of creating a Logo and how to write a wonderful short Slogan. Our class will be able to understand the purpose of logos and slogans in economics, business, and social media. Students will be able to create a social media logo and slogan. The structure of the class is to explain, describe, and understand the purpose of Logos and Slogans. The majority of the class will focus on students being able to discuss as well as brainstorm possible aspects to creating Logos and Slogans. The class will also provide a wide range of content on how to create a Logo in a few different programs (like CANVA or Google Documents). Within the 40 minute class we will dive deep into the communication aspects of Logos and how Slogans can transcend a message within the CTE or career world. Also, we will show prior Slogans that have been successful as well as working together as a class collaboratively to develop Slogans. Students will then be able to take the knowledge gain through curriculum, examples, the seminar method discussion, and technological software to explore the creation of Logos and Slogans as they advanced towards their careers.

Mr. Gullett (a.k.a Mr. G) has over twenty plus years of teaching experience mostly in history (social studies), English - Language Arts, seminar, special education, debate - public communication, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and elementary math/phonics/writing/reading. I have a BA in history and secondary education as well as two Masters: One in Career and Technical Education, Second in Educational Leadership. I have taught grades 3 through 12. I also have my own sports podcast, a couple years of sports broadcasting, and my own sports podcasting show with YouTube Channel/Podcast.

I have a Masters Degree in Career and Technical Education (CTE), teach/have taught Introduction to Careers, teach/taught CTE Electives, and over twenty years of teaching experience. I have a BA in history and secondary education as well as two Masters: One in Career and Technical Education, Second in Educational Leadership. All topics are related to the Career Cluster and Careers in Marketing.
