Cursive Made Simple - Putting It All Together

In this course, students will the "simplified" cursive writing style I teach in my "Cursive Made Simple - The Alphabet" course. I have taught this style of cursive throughout my career as an educator in both the general and special education setting.

The focus will take the letters learned and putting them together to create words and phrases. Students will further develop their ability to read in cursive as well as to develop their own writing style. This course is designed for learners that are able to write all of the upper case and lower case letters of the alphabet in cursive, but are unable to, or struggle with, combining the letters to create words. This course will also help students that struggle to read words that are written in cursive as well.

During our Zoom meetings, I intend to practice the "I do, you do, we do" model. For example, I will show students how to write a word in cursive(I do). Then, we will write each letter of the word together and I will ask each student to show me their work so I can assist with any struggles (we do). Finally, students will be asked to write words independently in order to demonstrate their writing abilities (you do). While students will be taught cursive, they will also be encouraged to recreate it "their way" because everyone's handwriting is different! Please note that students will need to turn on their camera's to show me their work, or else I will be unable to assess their progress.
