This hands-on, four-part lesson the learner to Microsoft Excel. This class will discuss: the parts of the Excel screen, naming cells, formatting cells, entering simple formulas, aligning cells, using simple functions, cell ranges, fill handle, merge and center, inserting header and footer, page layout, orientation, convert worksheet to formulas and more. This is the second segment of the Excel portion of the technology applications class that I taught in middle school for 20 years. I wrote the curriculum based on skill requirements set by the state of Texas. The Excel portion is divided into two basic parts. Class 1 – Profit and Loss Statements, charts Class 2 – Relative and absolute references, autofill Class 3 – Creating data tables, flash fill Class 4 – Conditional formatting, grouping multiple worksheets Needed for this class: Computer with video, sound and document saving capability, newer version of Microsoft Excel (2019 or Office 365) preferred
Learning Goals
The learner will gain a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel program so they can use it to perform tasks.
