In this class, students will learn to solve subtraction problems involving negative numbers. Students will receive a handout before the class begins that summarizes all of the tips and tricks that the class will teach. In the first meeting of the class, students will learn how to solve problems in the form of positive-minus-negative (i.e. 2-(-1)), negative-minus-positive (i.e. (-2)-1), and negative-minus-negative (i.e. (-2)-(-2)). Homework Offered
A one-page, double-sided worksheet will be provided for students to complete after the first meeting of the class. Students will be expected to either scan or take a picture of their completed sheet and send it back to me before the beginning of the last meeting of the class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed by their performance on the homework, as well as by their performance on the quiz in the last day of class. Student performance will be reported back to the parent.Grades Offered
