Beginner Level
Level up your crochet skills! 🎉 In this second class of our Crochet for Beginners series, you’ll go beyond the basics and master these essential skills: Half Double, Double, and Treble Crochet! But wait there's more! You will also learn how to create a magic circle and work in rounds. With these in your toolkit, you'll be able to add texture, height, and variety to your projects—opening the door to even more creative possibilities. Get ready to stitch with confidence!
Learning Goals
By the end of these lessons, students will increase their crochet knowledge by learning how to half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, make a magic circle and work in rounds.Syllabus
4 Lessons
over 4 WeeksLesson 1:
Half Double Crochet
Students will learn how to do a half double crochet (hdc) stitch and then use it to make rows of V-stitches. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Double Crochet
Students will learn how to make a double crochet (dc). They will then learn how to use this stitch to make a shell pattern. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Treble Crochet
Students will learn how to work a treble crochet stitch (tr) and apply it to create an airy, openwork Treble Mesh Stitch. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Magic Circle and Working in Rounds
Students will learn how to make a magic circle and work in rounds. 45 mins online live lesson

Students will handle scissors during this class so they will need to use caution.
Pre-Requisites
Students will need to take the "Crochet for Beginners: Class 1" or come to this course already knowing how to do a slipknot, chain, single crochet and how to form rows.
Supply List
Students will need to come to class with a hook, yarn, yarn needle, stitch markers and scissors.
