Students will learn different aspects of successful character designs through exercises that highlight the various moving parts of the process. I will show how to do a character breakdown, how to think with contour lines, how to study from someone else's work, and a fun exercise using blobs of color that will help get the creative juices flowing.
Sketchbook, pencil, pen or a tablet with any digital painting program to follow along and take notes.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
