This is a group drawing jam session. The class meets weekly and we draw together based on the week's prompt. Welcome to "Adventures in Cartooning: Unleash Your Imagination!" Join us as we embark on an exciting journey into the world of cartoons, where imagination knows no bounds. Each week we will tackle a different character prompt. Artists can join the class anytime and participate in our weekly challenges. The first four weeks will be as follows: Theme/Prompt/Topic Week 1-Dinosaur Time Traveler Scientist Week 2- Wild West Cowboys Week 3 - Mouse Detective Week 4- Robot Superhero In this interactive and engaging class, you'll learn the fundamentals of cartooning, from basic shapes and proportions to character development and storytelling. Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will guide you through each step, providing helpful tips, techniques, and plenty of encouragement along the way. Discover how to breathe life into your drawings through dynamic poses, exaggerated expressions, and vibrant colors. Pencils: A good set of graphite drawing pencils with different hardness levels (e.g., 2B, 4B, 6B) i They provide versatility and allow for easy adjustments and erasing. 2. Erasers: Erasers come in handy for correcting mistakes and refining your drawings. Have a kneaded eraser for precise erasing and a white vinyl eraser for larger areas. 3. Markers: Black ink markers, such as fine liners or brush pens, are excellent for creating bold outlines and defining the shapes of your cartoons.
