In this social club, children will actively shape their learning experiences in a supportive environment designed to promote social interaction and vocabulary growth. Each session will be led by the learners, where they’ll explore new vocabulary words related to their interests. Building vocabulary is crucial for early childhood development, as it lays the groundwork for reading comprehension, effective communication, and overall academic success. Learners will take the lead in sharing what they enjoy doing, where they like to go or what they create. Learners will explore vocabulary related to the chosen topics, sharing their insights, and using new words in context to enhance their communication skills. Topics will be driven by the interests of the group, such as animals, games, colors, art projects, vacations, nature, and any other thing the learners enjoy doing. This learner-led approach ensures that the vocabulary and discussions are relevant and engaging for each child. Please have your child ready to share with the class by showing us the item or discussing what they like. The other learners will be encouraged to ask questions. If they are shy, not ready to talk, or don't want to share on a particular day feel free to have them join in by watching and when they are ready they may share. This is a no pressure club. Classes will begin with a brief check-in, allowing learners to share their thoughts and ideas. Following this, the learners may share their items. If we have time we’ll engage in vocabulary-building activities, collaborative games, and group discussions, empowering each child to contribute and participate actively. My teaching style is facilitative and learner-centered, encouraging children to express their ideas and lead discussions. I prioritize engagement and collaboration, creating a space where each child feels confident to share and explore while making new friends. Through this dynamic learner-led approach offers a delightful social experience where early learners develop essential vocabulary and communication skills while having fun together!

Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northwest Missouri State University
Hello! My name is Kellie. I have over 15 years of experience teaching students in a variety of settings.
I have continued to expand my teaching experience and explore new areas of interest. I have taught students of various ages and backgrounds, both in traditional classroom settings and online platforms.
I strive to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to each student's unique learning style, fostering their confidence and love for learning.
In terms of my qualifications, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood and a Reading Endorsement. My passion lies in teaching foundational skills, particularly in reading. I firmly believe that every student has the potential to learn, but it's important to recognize and accommodate their individual learning needs and pace. In my classes, I provide multiple approaches to learning a concept, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to grasp it in a way that resonates with them.
Beyond my teaching experience, I have a diverse background in agriculture and farming. My husband and I are actively involved in raising quarter horses for working cow horse competitions. I find joy in merging my love for agriculture with my teaching endeavors, incorporating elements of farm life and nature into my lessons. It's a unique way to engage students and broaden their understanding of the world around them.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I'm excited to connect with more learners and families, and I look forward to the opportunity to inspire a love for learning in your child.
