Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner Level
In this engaging and interactive class, learners will build their understanding of rhyming through fun games and activities that focus on phonological awareness. This class is designed for children being introduced to rhyming or those needing extra support, and no reading skills are required!

Learners will develop the ability to identify and produce rhyming words using auditory and visual clues. Through practice, they will strengthen their early literacy and listening skills, key components of phonological awareness.

Topics:
Recognizing rhyming pairs through pictures and sounds.
Producing rhyming words in guided activities.
Building confidence with rhyming patterns using games like dominos, word ladders, and themed escape rooms.

This class is a recurring class filled with interactive activities and structured play. We will start each week with a quick introduction and warm-up to explore what rhyming is. Then, learners will dive into interactive games like rhyming dominos, word ladders, and themed escape rooms. We will finish with a fun celebration of their rhyming successes. After each class, there will be a game they can play at home to reinforce the word family we worked on.

I will use a variety of teaching methods, including visual slides, auditory wordplay, and interactive games to keep learners engaged. By combining structured activities with playful challenges, I create an interactive and supportive environment that encourages participation.

My teaching style is energetic, encouraging, and focused on making learning fun. I aim to create a safe and positive space where every learner feels confident exploring new skills and ideas.

By the end of class, learners will leave with a stronger understanding of rhyming, a boost in their confidence, and a smile from all the fun they’ve had!
