Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 10
Beginner Level
Learners will discover the basics of AI art. Through hands-on experiences, learners will create their own AI-generated artworks, from surreal dreamscapes to futuristic cityscapes. This is a self paced schedule class so there are no live classes. There will be 2 pre recorded video lessons for the learners to follow along and watch. The videos will be available for the first lesson. The rest of the week will be feedback and offering guidance on the prompt the learners are using. This can be done in the classroom. I will also put a prompt guide in the classroom the learners can print out to use for their own prompts for the text to images.
Some examples include: 1. Brown horse running through the countryside 2. Brown haired girl sitting a desk, laptop, books

In this class we, will use Canva Magic Studio text to image features to generate AI artworks. The learners will learn how to use prompts to get a text-to-image AI generated artwork They will analyze the choices. Then they will update the prompt they use to update the images with guidance. We will not be editing the images with Canva features.

I will show them how to use the prompt to get an image they want in Canva to create in the prerecorded video. I will provide the prompt template but the learners will brainstorm the words to add to the prompt and they will choose the words they will add to the text to image box.

The learners can share their artwork for 1 week to get feedback.

The teaching approach is a mix of instructor-led guidance and hands-on practice. Learners will explore Canva Magic Studio, experiment with AI art, and reflect on their creative process.

This class is designed for learners with a curiosity for art and technology. Basic computer literacy is helpful, but students will be guided through the Canva Magic Studio platform. The class is structured to accommodate learners of various skill levels and backgrounds, making it accessible to a broad range of learners.
