I am a Montessori Middle School teacher. In addition to being in the classroom for 8 years, I have taught and worked in Europe, Latin America. I have a flare and excitement for life that I translate with my students. I have had 7 years of experience working with adolescents students and I know what keeps the fire burning and thirst for knowledge while their bodies and minds are going through so many changes. This particular curriculum is a crowd-pleaser.
Learners will be completing projects for presentation during class. Homework time depends on the students' desire for deeper understanding. For some 1-2 hours per week is sufficient while others might be 6-10 (especially with the design portions). Students will be expected to finish any work that was not done during class.
All curriculum materials will be provided by the teacher. Students are expected to provide some materials to take notes and any project materials they might want to use at home (poster board, notebook, google slides, etc). Additionally, students will need to print out the packet.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Project-Based Assessments will be provided along with project rubrics.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
