Summer Review: Building Reading Comprehension Skills for Struggling Readers
In this one-on-on class students will be reading cool books such as fantasy, comics, superheroes, girl power, and other books on EPIC that will get them excited about reading and comprehension skills.

There will be a quiz at the end of each book and I may give a quiz if the book doesn't have one after we finish a book in class.Class Experience

What will be taught? In this 1:1 class learners will be taught reading comprehension skills using the Frayer modal and taking quizzes at the end of each book. What topics will you cover? Topics that will be covered are different genres of books that will be read from the EPIC. How is your class structured? This class will be taught online via Zoom. 1.) Greetings 2.) Read EPIC Book 3.) Frayer Model 4.) Recap of Book 5.) Quiz if finished story How will you teach? This class will taught with excitement of books related to the child's interest. I will teach your child reading comprehension skills through engaging books and asking them questions. What's your teaching style? My teaching style consist of a variety of different methods using the Frayer model, games, and other reading comprehension skills games. How much will learners get to interact with you (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? Your child will participate the entire time by reading the books along with me and completing the quiz at the end of the story. Your child will also complete reading comprehension games on line and also complete a Frayer Model.

No account or payment is required for EPIC all materials will be provided by teacher.
Supply List
Your child will need a pencil and paper or a draw erase board to complete the Frayer Model or notebook.
