**Franklin Endicott and the Third Key is Volume Six of the Tales from Deckawoo Drive series. The reading level is stepped up a bit from the original Mercy Watson books, making it a great next step for Mercy Watson fans. **Books do not have to be read in order. Franklin Endicott worries about everything. He even keeps a notebook of all of his worries. After going with Eugenia Lincoln to Buddy Lamp's Store to get a key duplicated, Franklin becomes worried after discovering a mysterious third key. Will Franklin be able to face his worries and figure out where this mysterious third key came from? This is a fun and relatable story that will quickly draw your child in, and they’ll be sure to fall in love with this book series. During our sessions, I will help learners dive a little deeper into our story by leading them through discussions and activities related to the chapters read. Learners will also have the opportunity to share their responses from the assigned activities. Before the start of each class, learners will need to read the assigned chapters. Kate DiCamillo is one of my favorite authors. When I taught in the classroom, I always used Kate DiCamillo’s books to read aloud to my students because she does a great job of helping readers to learn important life lessons and think deeply. I also have a Masters in Reading, and it is my goal to help your child think deeper about the texts that they read. It would be my pleasure to share this amazing book series with your child.
