Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
10,000 years ago there was a time called the Pleistocene where fascinating species lived on earth such as the Woolly Mammoth, Woolly Rhinoceros, Saber Tooth Tiger, Giant Ground Sloth and Giant Ape. It is believed that these species evolved to become smaller in order to survive in co-existence with humans. However, many notable scientists such as Sir David Attenborough, believe that it is possible that certain species may have continued to survive in isolated regions in small numbers and that the continuation of the Giant Ape species could be the answer behind the Bigfoot mystery. However, until this is proven, we can only wonder at the mysteries that still exist in the world today. The class will use a combination of flash cards, presentation slides and exciting video clips. At the end of the class learners will get the opportunity to draw their favourite Ice Age animal. Please bring some paper and colour pens/pencils to class for this activity.
