In this class we will explore the process of mummification, hieroglyphics, the creation of tombs, the Egyptian book of the dead, the afterlife journey, and the final resting place. Learners will understand the importance of the afterlife for Ancient Egyptians by examining some of the items that would be left in the tomb for use in the afterlife. We will look at what a funeral procession would look like in Ancient Egypt and what would happen during ceremonies such as the 'Opening of the Mouth'...
