US Grade 3 - 6
This class is about the ancient animals of the sea, from the massive shark Megalodon, to the first ocean predator Anomalocaris, each class will look at a different animal, what made it efficient for the ocean, the time period it lived in and a quick peek at what the land was like and what made it become extinct. This class will be structured in order of: The animal itself, when it was discovered by humans, when it lived, facts about it. I will teach in an interactive style via zoom through documentary and image presentations. I will periodically pause the class to ask my students questions or let them ask me questions. No prior knowledge required. May 19-Mosasaurus, May 26-Liopleurodon, June 2-Plesiosaurus, June 9-Leedsicthys, June 16-Shonisaurus, June 23-Dunkleosteus. Will add more creatures as the weeks go on.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about a specific creature, its adaptation, what made it successful and what caused its extinction. The animals talked about will be as follows:

1)I teach Classical Western Civilization History. Pre-colonial West African history with more specifics on pre-colonial Nigerian history and mythology. I also teach prehistory.
