This class is geared towards a beginning/intermediate Spanish speaker who knows the basics (numbers, colors, expressions) and wants to expand on their vocabulary and conversation skills. The must be able to work independently and read because we may work with a partner in breakout rooms (or both). Students can work on activity book #3 or #4. Students learning Spanish will be given one group assignment and weekly homework. PRACTICE & REVIEW Reading Vocabulary Grammar Conversation
I’m a native Spanish speaker and have experience tutoring Spanish students, teaching English language learners.
Homework will be assigned according to individual needs.
One activity book and Mexican hot cocoa. I will email you links.
Progress is assessed informally. Students are expected to practice in order so that they retain the language.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
During this course, feel free to reach out and send requests as to what you’d like me to focus on.
We will be using activity book #3 and #4 and I will ask that you purchase Mexican hot cocoa (we will celebrate on the last day of class) and print out PDF's. Total cost for activity books and hot chocolate is $25.
