This class is geared towards a beginning/intermediate Spanish speaker who knows the basics (numbers, colors, expressions) and wants to expand on their vocabulary and conversation skills. The must be able to work independently and read because we may work with a partner in breakout rooms (or both). Students can work on activity book #3 or #4. Every student will need to have activity book #3 as that will be the book we will constantly refer to because it has the verbs and conjugations.

Learning Goals: Students will review vowels, consonants, shapes, numbers, days, and colors in Spanish. They will learn pronunciation, expressions, how to introduce themselves, read, and much more. Through immersion and practice; we'll sing in Spanish, use repetition, converse, watch engaging videos, dance, and hear wonderful stories. Activities in each lesson will scaffold, building on previous lessons and will ensure learners are interested and engaged while I gradually add vocabulary and new concepts to their knowledge. 

 General class structure: 15 minute introduction/vocabulary, 25 minutes independent work or work with a partner (or both), 5 minute reflection/closure.

Week 2: REVIEW: Grammar - Verbs, Personal Pronouns, and Tenses, Conversations
Week 3:  Food, Table Setting, Reading Comprehension
Week 4: Animals, Commands with "Tu", Clothing, Conversations
Week 5: Time, My House
Week 6: Places and Occupations

Students will RETAIN their acquired language skills to become CONFIDENT SPANISH SPEAKERS!
