Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 2
Is your child ready for the next level of reading skills? This is the class for you. We will be strengthening reading and language skills through virtual board games and activities for: fluency, sight words, vocabulary, writing, suffixes, prefixes, nouns, homonyms, synonyms, adjectives, and similes. This class includes "Wiggle Breaks" to get our brains moving, reading circles and puzzles to help us practice our skills. I will teach live sessions which will provide opportunities for modeling and student practice. After each lesson, kids will have a fun reading game to do with their families. Parents are also encouraged to read with children as much as possible. My teaching style is to encourage each child at their developmental level and celebrate their individual growth in reading skills. I can’t wait to meet my little readers. Let's learn to love reading! A requirement for this course is that the student knows the letter/sound correspondence for the alphabet, including vowel sounds, and it is highly recommended that each learner has completed the first level.
