Beginner Spanish Color and Chat: St. Patrick's Day!
In this one-time course, students will learn vocabulary related to St. Patrick's Day in Spanish and practice speaking in Spanish sentences while coloring. Come be creative, color, chat, and chill!

Want to be creative while learning St. Patrick's Day vocabulary and speaking Spanish? Come color, chill, and chat in Spanish with a fun word match and coloring page! First, we'll repeat the new words with a PPT presentation, practice correct pronunciation, and use the new words in sentences. Then, we'll begin the matching and coloring page together in class. While students are coloring, I'll ask each learner a variety of questions and encourage grammatically correct answers in full sentences. If learners don't finish in class, they will be able to finish their coloring page at home and post it to the discussion board. PRIOR SPANISH KNOWLEDGE: This course is for learners who have some prior Spanish knowledge, such as how to say the numbers 1-10, some colors, simple sentences, etc. This class is not ideal for learners with no Spanish knowledge. The content students will learn in Spanish include: pot of gold, rainbow, horseshoe, treasure, coin, Leprechaun, hat, and Ireland, along with a question and full sentence answer in Spanish. Learners will practice asking and answering questions in Spanish related to the above sentences to get conversational practice. Some extension may be included in the lesson depending on the number of students, overall student comprehension, etc. This class is not a full immersion Spanish class and there will be some English used in class as needed. I aim to provide an ample amount of Spanish input and output while still helping students of various levels follow along.
