Lesson 3
Ser (to be) & Professions
Learners will be introduced to the verb 'ser' and how to conjugate it to the subject pronouns learned from the last lesson. Learners will also be introduced to professions in Portuguese. There will be exercises and drills where learners will be able to practice the vocabulary learned in this lesson. There will also be a short presentation for the following lesson regarding the 'job' activity.

Estar (to be) & Describing Our Emotions
Learners will be introduced to the verb 'estar' and will learn how to describe their own emotions in Portuguese using the adjectives learned in this lesson. There will be a small project presentation for the children. There will be a picture book activity where learners will use the subject pronouns and conjugations of 'estar' to tell a short story.

Regular -ar verbs: present tense & Hobbies and Leisure
Learners will be introduced to conjugating -ar verbs in Portuguese. In this lesson, learners will develop their vocabulary about hobbies and leisure activities. There will be a project provided by the Instructor.
 Week 7

Review -ar verbs & Project Presentations
Learners will have an opportunity to present their 'Eu gosto' project in class and practice conjugating -ar verbs in class.

Learners will have an opportunity to present their 'Eu gosto' project in class and practice conjugating -ar verbs in class.
 Week 9
Lesson 9
Regular -er verbs: present tense & Meals/menus
Learners will be learning about how to conjugate -er verbs in the present tense and develop the skills to describe a delicious skill. There will be an activity where learners will do role-playing in class. There will be a menu project provided by the Instructor.
 Week 10

Review -er verbs in class
Learners will have an additional opportunity to apply what they learned relating to the conjugation of -er verbs. Learners will write a short story using the verbs learned in this lesson.

Irregular Verbs, part 1: present tense & The Weather
In this lesson, learners will be introduced to a number or -er verbs from the previous lesson and apply them in conversation. Learners will also learn vocabulary relating to the weather. There will be a weatherperson report project for the following lesson.
