Beginner Portuguese for Younger Learners (Part 2)
In this 16-week European Portuguese language beginner course, learners will develop the basic skills to communicate, read, and write in Portuguese through lessons offered by the Music and Language Learning Center by Kristine Dizon.

Week 1Lesson 1Subject Pronouns & FamilyLearners will learn about what the subject pronouns are in Portuguese. In addition, learners will review and expand their vocabulary in describing family members in PortugueseWeek 2Lesson 2Subject Pronouns & FamilyLearners will learn about what the subject pronouns are in Portuguese. In addition, learners will review and expand their vocabulary in describing family members in PortugueseWeek 3Lesson 3Ser (to be) & ProfessionsLearners will be introduced to the verb 'ser' and how to conjugate it to the subject pronouns learned from the last lesson. Learners will also be introduced to professions in Portuguese. There will be exercises and drills where learners will be able to practice the vocabulary learned in this lesson. There will also be a short presentation for the following lesson regarding the 'job' activity.Week 4Lesson 4Estar (to be) & Describing Our EmotionsLearners will be introduced to the verb 'estar' and will learn how to describe their own emotions in Portuguese using the adjectives learned in this lesson. There will be a small project presentation for the children.
