Register today with the Music & Language Learning Center with a $10 discount: 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐋𝐋𝐂𝟏𝟎𝟏𝟎 Students will learn through the online format. There is no prior knowledge necessary. Homework assignments will include writing exercises and vocabulary lists. Learner progress will be evaluated through participation. The student will develop skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Brazilian Portuguese. There will be additional resources provided by the Instructor of the class through Quizlet and Kahoot. over 12 WeeksLesson 1:
Introductions, Greetings Conversation & Numbers
There will be classroom introductions & classroom expectations. Learners will be introduced to Brazilian Portuguese greetings and the difference between formal and informal conversation, how to introduce oneself, ask for one's name, and how to say goodbye. Learners will learn about cardinal numbers from 0 to 100 that will be broken up in the next couple of sessions. Learners will have an opportunity to practice using the new vocabulary in class and record what they have learned for the teacher.

Lesson 2:

Lesson 3:
The Days of the Week & Telling Time
What day is it? What time is it? Learners will learn the days of the Week, months and seasons of the year, date structure, and examples. They will be able to learn how to ask for the time in Brazilian Portuguese using the parts of the day and the Brazilian system. There will be activities in couples reading and writing dates with times.

Lesson 4:
Alphabet & Colours
Learners will be introduced to the Brazilian Portuguese alphabet. In this session, we will work on the pronunciation of vowels and consonants, how to spell their name, and the application of the Brazilian Portuguese alphabet. Learners will also learn the colors in Portuguese and be able to describe the color of different objects in Portuguese using the verb 'ser'. There will be a series of exercises and games for the students.
