In this Beginner Music Theory Course - Part A, we will begin our journey into music theory! This course will take 4 weeks and we will cover the main foundation of music. Week One - Introduction of the Grand Staff (Treble and Bass clefs) Week Two - Extending the Grand Staff and Flash Card Game (ledger lines) Week Three - Introduction to Rhythm (quarter, half, and whole notes) Week Four - More Rhythm Fun! (time signatures) I love to have fun while learning music so this class will be very interactive. I encourage all of my learners to ask any questions they may have at any time (by raising their hand). We will play flash card games, rhythm games, and listen to music that corresponds with what we are learning about. I am very patient and have a big heart for the younger generation who is interested in music. I hope to inspire each learner I get the pleasure of teaching to want to learn more and more about music.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Megan Lanter and I live in Georgia in the United States with my husband, three year old daughter, and giant dog named Rex! I have worked with children of all ages for many years and it is always a blast to interact with the younger generation. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concord University in West Virginia.
I love to play the piano and I have been for twenty years! I also play the flute and love music history. I offer intro to reading music classes, piano and flute lessons, and if you need help with your music classes at school we can do one-on-one tutoring classes.
I hope to see you in one of my classes soon!
