Wk3 Aug. 30th- Sep. 3rd // Places to go in your neighborhood Wk4 Sep. 6th-10th // Invitation to do something ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: How is your class structured? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: We will meet in zoom for 40 minutes once a week. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: How will you teach? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: On zoom through Outschool platform. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: What's your teaching style? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Easy-going, but perhaps because of the subject I teach, most students are really respectful, which I truly appreciate. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Learning a foreign language is all about interaction!! There will be interactive class activities for informal assessments. Pair activities/assignments are designed to develop each student's 21st century skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. If you are a home school student who is looking for a formal assignment grades, I will be happy to work with you (but I need to know what is expected). ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Any required experience or knowledge learners need? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: This is a beginner's class, but students will learn hiragana outside of class on their own with recommended materials.
Learning Goals
Students will strengthen their ability to create with language, converse on familiar topics that are commonly introduced in beginner levels, and build vocabulary and grammar toward advanced level.

Certified teacher for Japanese (EC-12), Mandarin(EC-12) and Art(EC-12). I grew up speaking Japanese, Mandarin and Taiwanese, so I have no problem mixing them up to meet your need. Many years of freelance tutoring experience for Japanese and Mandarin have helped me teaching all levels of Japanese including Pre-AP and AP classes at my former employment at a public high school.
