In my 1-on-1 tutoring, students will learn key Japanese phrases (self-introduction, navigating Japan when visiting), learn the fundamentals of reading and writing, and important Japanese customs.

Projects
1-2 hours per week. Draft self-introduction in English and I will translate to Japanese; practice speaking in Japanese their self-introduction; practice counting and key conversation phrases; practice writing hiragana and katakana.Class Experience
US Grade 8 - 11
Beginner - Intermediate Level
1) Basic, key phrases for self-introduction and conversation 2) Fundamentals of counting animate and inanimate objects 3) Fundamentals of writing Japanese (hiragana, katakana) Topics covered include basics of self-introduction, navigating Japan's public transit system, and shopping. I will teach a little bit of each of the three items above. My teaching style is interactive and patient. I create a positive learning environment to put students at ease and motivated to learn. I will include simple quizzes, practice time for students to work and ask questions, and introduce students to current cultural trends in Japan.
Learning Goals
Goals include: 1) for students to comfortably write and speak their self-introductions;2) for students to ask and respond to basic questions if they were speaking with a native Japanese person; go shopping;
