Introduction to Japanese Language & Culture

1) Basic, key phrases for self-introduction and conversation
2) Fundamentals of counting animate and inanimate objects
3) Fundamentals of writing Japanese (hiragana, katakana)

Topics covered include basics of self-introduction, navigating Japan's public transit system, and shopping.  I will teach a little bit of each of the three items above.  My teaching style is interactive and patient.  I create a positive learning environment to put students at ease and motivated to learn.  I will include simple quizzes, practice time for students to work and ask questions, and introduce students to current cultural trends in Japan.
