In this course, students will learn about commercial auditions and will get to do a mock audition. Students will learn the common types of commercial auditions, including improvisation, cold reads, personality interviews, prepared scenes, and scenes without sound. 

The first part of the class will be a short lecture and Q&A about what to expect at a commercial audition. Students will then get to pick what type of mock audition they would like to do and will learn techniques to improve their audition. They will then get a chance to practice and perform their audition for the class. They will then be given feedback and be given the opportunity to do their audition again using the feedback they received. Afterward, there will be a chance for a general Q&A about commercials and commercial acting.

If there is interest from the class, other topics discussed can include commercial agents, where to find commercial auditions, and commercial self-tapes.

There is no prior experience necessary for this class. Students with all experience levels are encouraged to participate regardless of acting ability.
