In this fun and interactive class, we will spend time going over the proper way to make hand shapes to represent different zoo animals using American Sign Language. After we learn how to make the proper shapes we will engage in activities to practice the new signs we just learned. Activities may include partner practice, flash card-style practice, signing along to a song or book. No prior knowledge or ASL experience required, I will teach you everything you need to know to learn how to sign animals using ASL! If there's any extra time I can take requests over specific animals not covered in the class.

I taught public high school for 7 years before having my first child (I have three now, and stay home with them.) I used to teach (and am TEA certified in) American Sign Language, Public Speaking, and Photojournalism. I absolutely loved my job, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to stay home with my kids. I miss my students and the fun dynamics that come with being a teacher, so I'm thrilled about this opportunity to combine the best of both worlds!
