This class is a fun introduction to animating. Learners will need to be familiar with using a tablet to use the FlipaClip app. Learning how to animate with FlipaClip is an easy way to get young artists interested animation. As the teacher, I will demonstrate the basics on how to use the FlipaClip app. This class is not just about how to create an animation, this class will challenge young artists to use their imagination to create a fun and easy animation. We will first do a practice animation. After the practice animation, learners will draw their favorite character in motion. Learners can have their animations jumping, dancing, exercising, and more. Once learners create their animated character we will chat and show off our awesome animated characters to each other.

My Professional Background:
• I am a certified K-12 Art Teacher in Tennessee.
• I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education from Middle Tennessee State University.
• I have taught art to primarily elementary students since 2013.
• I currently teach in a public-school setting.
• I have taught paint parties in community settings.
• I also teach online art tutorials.
Teaching Philosophy:
My goal as an art teacher is to help beginner artists be creative, feel confident in their art-making skills, and have fun while creating art. My passion for teaching art springs from the lightbulb that turns on in my student's brain when they get the opportunity to use their imagination. I love seeing my students become excited about an art technique or original idea that they produced on their own. I love seeing my students grow from amateurs to confident artists. When I see my students proud of their own original accomplishments and ideas, I know that I am fulfilling my purpose.
Something Fun and Personal:
I have a pet crested gecko named Enzo and a dog named Santi. I collect lamps and interesting lights. I have a traffic light, a ketchup lamp, and multiple disco balls (you can never have too many disco balls).
