Class Experience

Minecraft may have started out as just a game, but it has become much more than that! Minecraft has become a such a cultural phenomenon that its creator Markus “Notch” Persson was rated the second most influential person in the world by Time Magazine readers in 2012. It has turned into a software platform used heavily in education to teach physics and computer science, as well as to create art installations, 3D printed objects and, of course, machinema!

In this class, students will learn how to create 3D worlds and objects in Minecraft and export them to 3D software where they can render 3D movies.

Also students will learn the basics of 3D computer animation in Blender!
