Advanced Level
The course will focus on advancing the knowledge base for the progressive learner on the dysfunctions and or disease process of several organ systems. This course is designed to challenge the learner who has taken and excelled in my Advanced Anatomy course or the combination of the Basic Anatomy and Organ Disease Dysfunction series. The course will encourage learners to use critical thinking to apply learned anatomical information to presented organ diseased and dysfunctional scenarios. Heavy student class participation and interaction with presented slides is a must in this class to promote an invigorating and engaging session. Since this class is outlined for heavy class participation and interaction, it is not designed for that student who wants to stay behind camera and /or will not willingly engage in class discussions. Although, each organ system functions differently, the weekly format will be identical. It is not mandated but highly recommended for the student to attend weekly for the best learning experience. The child can be transferred by the teacher (if notified timely) to another available session (if one exists) during that topic week if their schedule conflicts with their registered session for that week. Out School videos of the sessions are also available soon after class- for students missing class or choose to review classwork. The (6) weekly progression will be as follow: Week of 3/6/22 -Theme 1- Diseases of Limbic System; Week of 3/13/22- Theme 2-Diseases Affecting Cranial Nerves ; Week of 3/20/22-Theme 3-Diseases of Cardiopulmonary; Week of 3/27/22 -Theme 4- Diseases of Gastro-Intestinal; Week of 4/3/22- Theme 5- Diseases of Hepatobiliary System; Week of 4/10/2022-Theme 6- Diseases of Autoimmune Origin. *Please note that the courses are purely informational and are not designed to replace the consultation of professional advice. *
Learning Goals
Students will gain a greater appreciation for a healthy body once learning how various diseases and or dysfunctions affect various organ systems disrupting homeostasis. They will be expose to some external and internal factors contributing to such diseased or dysfunctional organ systems.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Doctoral Degree from Utica College
A Doctor of Physical Therapy-Doctoral Studies in Education. My Doctoral Physical Therapy program curriculum required an in-depth study of Anatomy/Physiology, Neuro Anatomy (among other sciences) and Human Dissection of every body organ. My State Physical Therapy Licensure requires me to attend 30 hours of continued education every 2 years-staying abreast of documented advances and research of disability as pertaining to dysfunctional organisms. I have practiced as a physical therapist for 40 years-treating pediatrics (newborn-through adulthood) geriatrics (65year plus population) and all ages in between providing rehabilitation and education to debilitated patients due to dysfunction of bodily organs. During my 40 years as practicing therapist, I have trained and supervised physical therapy students. Worked as team player with medical doctors/ surgeons, nurses and other allied health professionals to restore patients with physical limitations due to unhealthy function of bodily organs (whether from disease process, aging, trauma genetics).
I have taught 13–16-year old's on Outschool platform for past (18) months for my (3) other Science courses with awesome reviews.
