Class Experience

In this live class we will meet weekly to discuss the diversity of life on earth. We will start with learning about how the expression traits in a population can change to help the population adapt to its environment. We will then learn how biologists classify life on earth. From there we will do a survey of the biology of viruses, prokaryotes, plants and humans.

We will cover one chapter of a standard tenth grade biology textbook per week, and homework will be assigned to reinforce class material.

Topics included are natural selection, classification of the diversity of life, plant biology, human systems and more. Please see Syllabus for details.

Classes will be lecture based with a large emphasis on student participation. Academic discussions in class are highly encouraged.
