Class Experience

DNA, genes, Mendel, invertebrates........ These words may sound familiar, but do you truly know how they work and fit into the natural world? In this class, young science enthusiasts will deepen their understanding of these terms and so much more! We will start at the atomic level and progress through to organisms, including human systems. Live meetings, as well as engaging work at home and hands on activities, will deepen learners' understanding of Biology and the world around them.

Weekly live classes will be part lecture, with a heavy emphasis on discussion and student questions. I will present the material in an engaging manner and encourage questions and comments from students. The goal of this class is for learners to love learning about the natural world around them, and for them to deepen their understanding of Biology.

I will lead a few lab experiments and hands on projects as well!

This class, while fun and engaging, will prepare middle school students for a successful transition to high school level Biology.

Weekly notes will be provided.
