📚 2-Week Reading Camp Adventure! 🌟 Unlock the world of reading with our immersive and exciting 2-week Reading Camp! Reading is not just a skill; it's a lifelong adventure waiting to be discovered. Our goal is to make this journey engaging and stimulating, instilling not only the ability to read but a lifelong love for it. Class Overview: In this fun and interactive learning environment, we will focus on phonics to explore the fundamentals of reading. Whether your child is an emergent or struggling reader, our camp caters to all levels, ensuring a tailored and enriching experience. Class Levels: 🔤 Level 1: Ideal for those still learning the alphabet and recognizing letters. Daily activities include letter recognition, vowel practice, phonics, blending, segmenting, sight words, and early literacy books. 🔤 Level 2: Designed for students working on phonics while having a basic understanding of letters. 🔤 Level 3: Tailored for readers recognizing CVC words and starting to read. 🔤 Level 4: Geared towards readers needing fluency and comprehension enhancement. 🔤 Level 5: Perfect for those understanding text but wanting exposure to complex genres and text analysis. 🔤 Level 6: Tailored for fluent readers in need of advanced text exposure and literary analysis (typically 5th-6th graders). Lesson Objectives: Over the 2-week period, we'll focus on phonics and fluency simultaneously. Classes meet four times a week, covering essential aspects such as phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, and varied phonics rules. Our multi-sensory approach engages visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic learners. Multi-Sensory Learning: Visual: PowerPoint slides, posters, and student-created art. Auditory: YouTube videos, rhymes, language games, and peer-assisted reading. Tactile: Manipulating letters/words with various materials. Kinesthetic: Incorporating gross motor movements into phonic activities. Common Core Curriculum: Our curriculum aligns with the Common Core standards, progressing from alphabet basics to blending, segmenting, deletion, and rhyming. Through games, songs, and interactions, students will embark on an engaging journey, making new friends along the way. We're here to make learning exciting and enjoyable! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Join us for a reading adventure filled with songs, games, and newfound friendships. I look forward to welcoming your child into our delightful reading community! Sincerely, Mz. Marianna's Family of Tutors
