Here are some of the skills we will cover: The learners will be jumping into Kahoot fun every day. No worries, they won't need their own accounts, but they should know how to log in. Also, each learner will receive worksheets from Ms. Abby. Make sure they have something to jot down their thoughts with, whether it's a notebook or just some paper. Subjects covered in this class include writing, reading, science, math, social studies, geography, and arts and crafts. Learners will build skills, develop friendships, and embark on fun adventures with different books. Ms. Abby will post a weekly note listing the supplies, worksheets, and spelling words that learners will need. Daily Supplies: Writing tools (pencils, pens, paper) Provided worksheets Device for Kahoot Learners will need to log in to Kahoot daily. Please ensure your learner has a device and knows how to log in. Please note that Thursdays are designated as review and fun activity days. Meet the teacher
Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, and welcome to my class! I'm Abby. I have over 30 years experience working with children ages 2-16. For many years, I was the co-owner, director of instruction, and lead teacher for J & A Daycare Center. I also have many years of experience caring for and teaching children through nannying and private home daycare, including children on the autism spectrum. (I have such a heart for children with special needs!) For the past five years, it has been my joy to homeschool my 20-year-old daughter. It is exciting to see her thriving and enjoying learning!
My teaching style is warm, creative, and fun. I am passionate about teaching young children! I love to encourage children and make sure they feel welcome. My goal for my classes is for every child to walk away smiling and feeling like they had a good time!
My husband, daughter and I make our home in Athens, GA. I enjoy wood painting, coloring, cooking, and crafts. I am so excited to meet and teach your child!
