Class Experience
US Grade 4
In this ongoing class, your learner will get tutoring based on their homework assignment or anything the student may be struggling with in K-4th grade Math. Please, stay in communication with me to let me know ahead of time what your student needs assistance with so I can be prepared with any materials that might aid in the learning process. My approach on tutoring is focused on encouragement and words of affirmation. The learning atmosphere is critical to learning and retention. I encourage students to ask questions and be themselves during our sessions. Finally, I like to include fun games during the lesson when the material and time allows. It would be an honor to help your child thrive within their gifts and talents to the fullest potential they were created to be. Some of the Math concepts we may cover are: Addition Subtraction Solving for unknowns Multiplication Division Place Value Fractions and Mixed Numbers Geometry Rays and Angles Metric System Order of Operations and more...

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from University of Florida
Hello!
I’m thrilled to have you here! My name is Mrs. Dayanis, and I’m the proud mom of two wonderful little girls. Fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, I’ve developed a deep passion for studying and teaching languages over the years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida and bring over 12 years of experience in the dental field.
After my first daughter was born, I felt a strong calling to homeschooling, and it’s been a rewarding journey ever since. With 7 years of experience as a homeschool mom and teacher within our community, I’ve discovered a profound love for teaching that I never anticipated. I’ve had the joy of teaching a wide array of subjects, including History, Science, Language Arts, Math, Latin, Geography, Spanish, Art, and Music Appreciation. The more I explore these subjects with my children, the more eager I am to learn and share knowledge with young learners.
In my classroom, safety is my top priority. You might wonder, “Safety?” Yes, indeed! I aim to create an environment where students feel secure, allowing them to be themselves without fear of judgment or criticism when facing challenges. Building self-esteem is crucial to the learning process, and I believe fostering a student’s confidence is essential for their success. That’s why I keep my classes small—to be attentive to each student and connect the material with positive experiences, making learning enjoyable.
I particularly enjoy teaching subjects like Math, especially multiplication. There’s something incredibly satisfying about helping students uncover the patterns and possibilities within numbers. Seeing their excitement grow as they master multiplication and realize its power is truly rewarding. It would be a privilege to guide you and your family through this journey, making math both enjoyable and engaging. I believe that learning math should be a fun experience because discovering the beauty of numbers is an exciting adventure, and sharing that enthusiasm with young learners is a wonderful opportunity..
I look forward to meeting you and your child!
