Mastering number formation is essential for developing numerical literacy in children. It sets the stage for understanding and manipulating numbers, leading to proficiency in more advanced mathematical concepts. From basic counting to solving arithmetic problems, the journey of number formation is a crucial step towards success in both academics and everyday tasks. In this class we will be: -Develop muscle memory by tracing numbers, a proven technique for effective learning. - Enhance understanding with the use of visual aids, making concepts more engaging and memorable. - Foster active participation through verbal counting and repetition of helpful rhymes, ensuring solid formation of numbers. - Reinforce learning through repetitive practice, allowing for mastery and retention of skills. Taught by a certified teacher.

I began tutoring mathematics on a one-to-one basis at the age of seventeen while pursuing my A-Levels. This experience ignited my passion for teaching. Subsequently, I joined a company where I taught small groups of fifteen and sixteen-year-olds in preparation for their exams. Even during my university studies in mathematics, I continued tutoring one-to-one. Upon completing my bachelor's degree, I pursued a postgraduate degree in primary education (ages 4-11) with a specialisation in mathematics.
I held a position in a school where I led the tutoring program. I conducted webinars and training sessions for this role, organising engaging activities in mathematics and writing for students.
Additionally, I worked as a class teacher for seven and eight-year-olds, teaching all subjects in the UK national curriculum for two years. I also served as a cover teacher and head of tutoring at another school for an additional two years, where I coordinated and planned small groups to provide maths assistance.
