In this one time class, I will use games, songs and hands on activities to teach this class. My goal in this class, is to help your child develop their math skills by practicing skills with fun games and activities. Some of the math skills we will cover in this class will include subitizing numbers 0 - 20, writing and identifying numbers 0 - 20, counting sets of numbers, exploring number patterns and identifying more or less and least to greatest. We will also practice and review addition and subtraction and adding and subtracting one more or one less if time allows. I believe learning should be fun, as well as educational.

For class students will need: something to write on and write with OR a dry erase board, marker and eraser NOTE: the following materials are OPTIONAL, your child will still learn and enjoy the class without them dice - you will need two heart math sheet Teacher Tip: If you chose to have your child use dice, you may want to place the dice in a plastic container (I use a zip lock food container) so that the dice will stay in your child's learning space.

Hi my name is Lynn and I am excited to be teaching on Outschool.
I graduated with a bachelor degree in education. I am a certified teacher with an endorsement in Pre-K - 4th grade.
I taught first grade for 18 years and I have taught kindergarten for the last 11 years. I also have over 15 years of experience volunteering with pre-schoolers and young adults. I love teaching and making an impact on children of all ages. I feel so blessed to be able to have a job I love!
I believe that learning should be interactive and fun as well as educational. I also believe that all children learn and develop at their own pace and I believe in meeting children where they are when they come to my class. I will offer a variety of activities in my classes to enhance each students learning experience.
In my free time I enjoy riding my bike, crafting with my cricut, reading, going to the beach and pool, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
