The goal of this class is to have each learner build confidence while engaging students in learning activities to help increase beginning educational skills. This is an ongoing circle time camp that will use fun themes to teach skills and activities.. In this ongoing circle time camp, I will teach calendar skills including days of the week, months of the year, number recognition and counting 0 - 20. During our circle time we will also explore letter recognition, letter sounds, shapes and colors. I believe learning should be interactive and fun, so I include movement as well games, songs and activities to help reinforce skills that are taught. To be successful in this class, students need to come to class ready to learn. This class will also encourage learners a chance to practice taking turns, listening, being patient and sharing thoughts and ideas with other students. Weekly class themes are listed below: Week 1 - Popsicle Week 2- Fish Week 3- Bugs Week 4- Sharks Week 5- Beach Week 6- Under the Sea

For each class, students will need something to write with and write on. If additional supplies are needed for class, I will list them in the classroom at least 24 hours prior to the start of class.

Hi my name is Lynn and I am excited to be teaching on Outschool.
I graduated with a bachelor degree in education. I am a certified teacher with an endorsement in Pre-K - 4th grade.
I taught first grade for 18 years and I have taught kindergarten for the last 11 years. I also have over 15 years of experience volunteering with pre-schoolers and young adults. I love teaching and making an impact on children of all ages. I feel so blessed to be able to have a job I love!
I believe that learning should be interactive and fun as well as educational. I also believe that all children learn and develop at their own pace and I believe in meeting children where they are when they come to my class. I will offer a variety of activities in my classes to enhance each students learning experience.
In my free time I enjoy riding my bike, crafting with my cricut, reading, going to the beach and pool, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
