💙💜💛 Welcome to Sing Create Play!!

This is a fast-paced class filled with hands-on ukulele playing and giggles!

♪ This is an ongoing course for beginners ukulele students; we will learn the basic of ukulele playing and build on student's skills: learning to play beginners chords, simple strumming patterns and rhythms while learning new songs each week.

♪ This is an inclusive class and children of all abilities and disabilities are welcome. 

♪ Children don't need to know the story or have the book in order to enrol in this class.

🎶 Class Structure  🎸

1️⃣ Sing a cheerful “Hello” to start the class! 🎤
2️⃣ Warm-up game to get our hands and fingers ready to play! ✋
3️⃣ Practice rhythmic patterns for songs we’ll play! 🥁
4️⃣ Time to improvise and create our own melodies! 🎶🎸
5️⃣ Play each song, focusing on strumming, steady beat, and playing position! 🎵
6️⃣ Performance time! Students can share parts of the song if they want! 🌟

>> Please note that the songs have been modified to very simple and basic chords and melody so young ukulele beginner players can enjoy playing them.

Please know that your child can jump in at any point to attend this class. It is a very flexible course, and they will benefit whenever they join! This class will meet the needs of each type of learner, that includes kinaesthetic, visual, and auditory. 

♪ Please note that I welcome beginner ukulele students as well as children who have never played the ukulele before.

♪ Students will improve their musical abilities, in general, and will also learn: 
-  how to play the ukulele, sing and strum at the same time;
-  how to hold a ukulele;
-  correct playing position;
-  proper hand position;
-  how to count and play chords (C Major and F major, Am, G7);
-  how to strum.

Other skills children will learn in this class:
- strum at different tempos (fast and slow)
- strum with different dynamics: loud, quiet, from quiet to loud building momentum;
- how to follow chord patterns (with animals and colours for children who can't read yet);
- how to play multiple songs
