課堂經歷
This is a Learner-Led Social Group! We will use a turn based system to accommodate all learners in our classes. 👋🏼Neurodivergent teens often struggle to find a community where they can share their experiences and expertise without fear of judgement or criticism. That's why this offering is so important. By creating a safe space for neurodivergent teens to share their knowledge, special interests, and experiences, we are building a community of support and affirmation. 🧑🏽🎤 Through regular meetings, learners will have the opportunity to participate in various forms of information sharing, including sharing items via video, scripts, or quotes, and screen sharing. These communication methods are designed to meet the unique needs of neurodivergent learners, allowing them to share their knowledge and expertise in a way that is comfortable and accessible. ❤️Moreover, the act of sharing special interests and experiences builds a sense of community and belonging among participants. By connecting with others who share similar experiences and interests, learners can develop meaningful relationships and a support system that will benefit them both now and in the future. 😀Overall, this offering provides an invaluable opportunity for neurodivergent teens to connect with others and share their knowledge and expertise in a supportive and affirming environment. By participating, learners can build valuable skills, develop meaningful relationships, and gain a sense of belonging within a community that understands and celebrates neurodivergence.

I love making space for young people to bring meaning to their experiences - be they social, educational or creative. I'm a lifelong learner and a parent. My grandparents spoke Dutch (maternal) and Ukrainian (paternal) growing up.
I especially love recycling textiles with my learners on Outschool!
I have pet worms who eat my compost. I love to eat (and talk about!) wild foods.
I completed a Bachelor's of Child and Youth Care, with early childhood education specialization from the University of Victoria. Learning about humans is my favourite.
🎲Instructor: Ms. Yvonne, BMus I'm a Metis artist, musician and micro-farmer. Sustainability is important to me as it encourages connection with nature no matter where you live. My experiences range from 10 years with IBM as a field tech to professional musician. I am a songwriter and a homeschooling mum of two kids and my current obsession is board game design. I believe that child-led project based learning is the key to engagement. As an ND learner myself and a parent of an ND child, I believe connection and relationship are the first step in education.
