Becoming an entrepreneur takes creative thinking and it's great to have a group of people to bounce ideas off of. This ongoing social group provides that space. Students will socialize and learn how to present their creative endeavors and to give and receive positive feedback. They will share what they have discovered in starting their own creative business and brainstorm solutions for each other. This creates a supportive network in your field! Social classes satisfy BC’s curriculum/BC Ministry of Education for K–12 around communication studies through: acquiring and presenting information; focusing on intent and purpose in delivery; and connecting and engaging with others.
Yvonne is an interdisciplinary artist who has had a small business of one sort or another for years. Repairing computers, performing with bands, selling goods at markets, Yvonne has seen various sides of small business. With a BMus and many years as a homeschooling teacher, Yvonne is looking forward to learning from YOU! Linda draws and paints and is recently exploring mosaics using recycled material. She loves to create in various mediums. Using recycled fabrics, Linda has created rag rugs and other fabric based art. Her background is as an International Art Educator and has years of experience as a teacher.
Please bring any supplies that you need for your specific projects.
