This class is designed for Kinder-3rd grade students who are struggling with foundational literacy skills. The first meeting will be an assessment to determine what skills the student will be focusing on. Each session after that will be tailor made for the student. The student will gain the foundational literacy skills needed to improve their reading proficiency and have confidence in themselves.
I was a Coordinator for a literacy nonprofit for 4 years. During that time I assessed and tutored students in grades K-4. This position included many hours of training and professional development in areas such as: assessment, intervention, teaching, tutoring, data analysis, lesson planning, and other essential tools.
