In Class 5, we will build on Latin 1 (Classes 1-4) and Pre-Latin. I am introducing two new verb tenses: Future and Imperfect (which is closely related to the Past Tense in English). We will focus on learning the endings for those tenses, and practice translations using all three verb tenses: Present, Future, and Imperfect. I have a BA/MA in history and languages. I have tutored and taught Latin for almost a decade. Latin is my favorite foreign language, and I have acquired 7 languages! I always make sure to go at the student's pace. We can speed up if they learn quickly, and slow down if some of the material proves difficult.

For this course, I draw from Wheelock's 7th edition text, Cambridge (Book 1), Minimus (1), Latin for Beginners, and my own studies. We also use Latin Wiktionary (free online dictionary) for looking up word endings and definitions.
