This is a private tutoring session for the improvement of writing skills. Before class, I will send a questionnaire to narrow down our beginning point. Depending on what the learner needs to work on, we will focus on academic writing and/or creative writing skills. I will use writing prompts and brainstorming/mind maps to teach them to choose topics. For academic writing, we will work with outlines, resources, thesis statements, and evidentiary support. Students will begin to understand how to craft a well-written short story or academic paper.
I have a Bachelors and Masters degree in History/Foreign Language & Literature. I have taught and/or tutored on writing successful academic papers in both History and English. Additionally, I am passionate about the written word, and love to see my students fall in love with writing - whether for fun or for school work.
